End of Summer

Already? Yes! The rust-colored mums are popping, the leaves are turning, the football games are starting, and there is an aroma of fall in the air.

So, how have we spent this last month of summer?

1. Eating while celebrating Hubby's agedness. A lobster fry and Grandpa's Famous Smoked Salmon. Heavenly yum...

Fresh cherries:

2.  Hanging out with the cuties, again:

3.  Scaring our friends with feisty lobsters:

4.  Enjoying a moment with J & Grams:

5.  Saying goodbye to Reginald  (aka: Freginald):

Goodbye! You were a good eat, Reginald!

6.  Dunking lobster:  Gramps in charge. No animals were harmed in the making of this lunch.

7.  Taking in an air show. This is the F22 and P51 Heritage Flight. Pretty awesome. When I asked Hubby if the F22 was Navy or Air Force he looked at me in disbelief and said, "The Air Force has all the cool toys."

A closer look:

F22:

8.  Taking in the largest Krispie Treat EVER. Sold at the airshow, one could choose between Fruit Loops Treats, Fruity Pebble Treats, and Cocoa Krispie Treats. At $5.00/square, I could choose only one.

I chose Cocoa Krispies with an embedded Oreo-like cookie.

9.  Stopping to take a picture of Grams with "her people." (Hubby's comment.)

And finally ...

10.  Visiting the Farmer's Market. Fresh peaches, yum...

and white chocolate lemon bread. Oh yeah.

A good summer was had by all!
